International Gashuku Hemsby 2010

International Gashuku was attended by Shotokan studnets and instructors from all over the Uk and the Chech Repulic. The event was hosted by Sensei Kevin Leigh 5th Dan, Sensei Anne Hastings 6th Dan, Sensei Colin Nedham 5th Dan and Sensei Ivor Garner 5th Dan. They were supported by other top intructors.

The weekend began with early morning training at the camp site, followed by 3 hours in the dojo and then 2 hours in the swimming pool. the morning included a varity of intense shotokan training mixed with challenging team games.

After lunch came the beach. First in the sand dunes training, Volleyball and the king on the hill challenge. Highlight of my weekend was getting to the top and tagging the flag. To old at 47 blah.!!!!

Then to the beach and then into the sea. It was awesome stuff.

Saturday night saw a hugh BBQ on camp and then into town for a quite drink or 2.

Sunday we hiked for miles across countryside and along the beach with various training and team challenges along the way. A fantastic weekend with some fantastic people. And only one person would could not hold their drink.
